Policies and Procedures

Disclaimer
Dog training is not without risk. By registering for a class with Central Canine, you acknowledge and
agree to release and discharge Central Canine, Lauryn Joslyn, associates and other participants from any
and all liability including, but not limited to, dog bites, damage or loss.
In order to begin dog training at Central Canine, whether it is a private session, group session, drop-in
session or seminar, you will be required to sign and submit a liability form, releasing all liability from
Central Canine.

Payment
Private Sessions – When registering for a private session through the Central Canine website, you will be
required to pay for the session ahead of time, online. This will hold and confirm your reservation. If you
are registering for a private session that is off campus, and the training location is more than 20 minutes
away from the Central Canine campus, you will be required to pay an additional $10.00 at the start of
your session.

Group sessions – When registering for a group session through the Central Canine website, you will have
the option to either pay online or register and pay later. When choosing to pay online, you will
automatically reserve a spot in the class. If you choose to pay later, payment must be submitted and
received within 7 days in order to guarantee you a spot in the class. You will receive confirmation of
payment when it is received.

Drop-In Sessions – It is not required that you register online for a drop-in session but it is suggested and
will help the staff at Central Canine with required accommodations. If you do choose to register for a
drop-in session through the Central Canine website, you will have the option to either pay online or
register and pay later. If you choose to pay later, payment must be received at the beginning of the
drop-in session.

Seminars and Workshops – When registering for a seminar or workshop, all working spots must be paid
for in advance. Working spots are on a first come first serve basis. When all working spots have been
filled, registration will be closed and notification will be posted both on the Central Canine website and
social media accounts. When registering for a working spot, you must register through the Central
Canine website and payment will be required at that time. Audit spots will be open and available for
purchase through the entire seminar or workshop.

Refunds
No credits or refunds will be issued once your registration is confirmed and payment has been received.
If you miss a class that you have registered and paid for, you will not be refunded for that class. There
will be no make-up classes for missed classes.

Storm Policy
In the event that the Maine weather makes travel unsafe, class will be postponed and you will be
notified by phone or email before noon time of the day in question. Group sessions that get postponed
will be extended one additional week. Private sessions that get postponed will be rescheduled to
another time and date that works for both the trainer and client. Drop-in sessions will pick back up on
the following week, at the regular scheduled time.

Holidays and Extenuating Circumstances
In the event that a group session is supposed to take place on a major holiday (i.e. Christmas,
Thanksgiving, Easter, etc.) that week’s session will be postponed and the class will be extended an
additional week.

In the event that a drop-in session is supposed to take place on a major holiday, the drop-in session will
be canceled and sessions will pick back up at the same time the following week.
If extenuating circumstances make it impossible for the trainer to attend a private session, group
session, or drop-in session on a given date, the session will be postponed and rescheduled to a later
date.

Sick Dogs
If your dog has a suspected or diagnosed communicable illness, please do not bring your dog to class. If
staff at Central Canine suspects that your dog is ill, they have the right to ask you and your dog to leave
the facility.

Photography
When training at Central Canine for the first time, you will be asked to sign a photo release waiver. This
waiver is optional and is not required when training at Central Canine. If you agree to have your photos
taken, Central Canine will have the right to use these photos for advertising purposes.
